We have over 100 new members that have joined COFA in the past week and many of them joined on Monday and may not have known we had a meeting yesterday, so for you I'm sharing the video. Council Meeting Video Link

If you're new to COFA you might ask what is COFA Council. COFA Council is the committee that plans all COFA events. It provides students an opportunity to get great experience in organization, event planning, and communication. Not only would you learn all these skills, but you will also be able to meet new people and have great high school experiences. The link to apply is here. Applications are due on the 29th of August. This second link will open a document with descriptions of the positions. I invite you to stop by tomorrow to check it out even if you're just curious. Everyone is welcome at our council meetings, though it is not required to attend.

This year we will be implementing a new event tracking system. As you all know it is required to attend events in order to receive your laureate and laureate with distinction awards Normally. students began tracking their events from their freshman year to their senior year on their own. This year we wanted students to be able to track their events starting their freshmen year and sophomores, juniors, and seniors can start using it too. We are implementing a new form that will be available in our google classroom as an assignment. The class join code is: hvqeg32. Please be sure to join in order to have access to that event tracking log and get timely notifications about what's going on.

Further information will be coming on how we will handle the Laureate Award events requirement this year due to all the event cancellations.
