On behalf of ASB, Mr. Whitten, and myself, I am inviting you to come out to the quad today at break to support the Mannequin challenge. Find a spot, and plan how you will pose. About 5 minutes into break ASB will announce for everyone to freeze. Be as still as a mannequin for about 3 minutes. There will be a couple of people walking around filming while you hold your poses. Let's do this!
The COFA Council met last night to kick off the planning for our next major event: Showcase, which will be happening together with Open House on January 12th, 2017 at 6:00pm. The event directors, Vanessa Morley and Jennifer Song laid out their plans and needs. Here is a link to the meeting notes and the information Jennifer and Vanessa covered. Most important is getting members to sign up to help. Meeting Notes with sign-up links:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ORE4ljxM3qgYL7-JiEQTdbzVFR0mmf2IHWiq0kozaZ0/edit?usp=sharing
At last nights meeting we also discussed going forward with the new jacket and tee-shirt design/order. Stay tuned for an order form--the jackets will cost around 40.00 and T-shirts 10.00 and will use the new design created by Sophia Jang.
Session 2 of Calligraphy was lots of fun yesterday--David Mark from the Southern California Calligraphy Society did a wonderful job teaching connecting letters into words and writing on curved paths. Next up is designing a custom greeting card on December 5th at 3:15p in 137. David will have a special gift for all workshop attendees.
