Dear COFA A big thank you to everyone that made last week's Showcase one of the best we've ever had. The directors, Vivian Yip, Sophia Jang, and Soo Choi did an exceptional job planning, organizing and executing the evening. The performances, art, and personal sharing by our members made lasting impressions on the attendees and I'm sure will boost our ranks next year. We also appreciate our custodians, ASB, administration, support staff, teachers, and parents coming together with our team and without whom we couldn't have pulled off the evening. ____________________________________________________________ China Exchange Opportunity Mr. Whitten has asked me to share an opportunity to host a Chinese student and then travel to China and be hosted there. There are approximately 60 pieces on display. We hope that this exhibit will be something that you would like to let your High School students know about and have them go see all the different styles of writing and layout designs. The title of our exhibit is "Hand Lettering" The library is at 7111 Talbert Ave. Huntington Beach, Ca. (just east of Goldenwest). The exhibit will be up for the month January 2018. We will be taking the exhibit down Tuesday 1-30-18 The Corner Gallery is: go past the Information desk and turn left where all the books on shelves are for sale ... continue back to the glass windows. Thank you for passing this information on to the High Schools that you are teaching students calligraphy. ____________________________________________________________ Check out the Slideshow presentation from our Membership Directors, Jennifer Song and Diane Choung they have some great initiatives that we will be implementing going forward to increase our membership: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1M2BoFstm5rTr6gjHwhBrmkOAsZyn9II7AZ4EyAnF4CE/edit?usp=sharing ____________________________________________________________ Tix for TEENs This program offered by the OC Philharmonic in partnership with COFA and provides tickets for you to attend professional performances at no cost.
