The Fall Festival was our best yet with more attendees than ever before. The performances were excellent. This event is first and foremost about getting COFA out in front of the school, giving our artists a chance to share their talents, and give our members opportunities in leadership. Our membership grew by 18 people in the last 3 days so there is that too. Putting together an event like this is a complex undertaking and requires the efforts of many to pull off. I am always awed by the volunteerism of our COFA members, parents, staff, and the behind the scenes work that went on to make this event possible beginning many weeks back. Our directors, Christine Seo, Eunice Byon and the assistant directors were exceptional in organizing this wonderful event. We also owe big thanks to our administration, custodial staff, and ASB--we couldn't have done it without them--if you see them in passing tell them thank you and finally thank you to everyone that worked tables, set up, cleaned up, made decorations, signs, took pictures, cooked hot dogs, and more.
There are several exciting events coming up: This Thursday COFA is hosting the 3rd Annual Fall Festival--there will be food, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Boba, Virtual Reality Haunted House, Games, Art, Candy, Prizes, and Performances by all of the COFA disciplines--and if you still want to help just let me know. Check out the promo video -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GY8bhSnHxI -- I've asked the 2nd period teachers to show it to help spread the word and make this the most attended Fall Festival yet.
Tomorrow (Monday) at 3:15 in room 137 begins the first of 4 sessions on brush calligraphy sponsored and taught by the Calligraphy Society of Southern California. Even if you haven't signed up we can accommodate you--just show up. (counts as an event)
Tuesday and Wednesday this week after school in room 137 there will be work sessions to develop publicity and organize games and decorations for the upcoming Fall Festival hosted by COFA. We need a few more helpers to create items for the show to make it the best Fall Festival yet.
Lip Sync Battle tomorrow--2 shows! 6:00pm and 8:00pm in the PAC. Tickets on sale at break and lunch in the Quad and at the door. $10.00 pre-sale and 12.00 at the door.
